Best X570 Motherboards

The AMD X570 chipset is the newest and most advanced chipset on the market, so it’s no surprise that there are a lot of Best X570 Motherboards to choose from. These boards offer everything you could hope for in terms of features, performance, and quality. However, different people will have different needs and preferences when it comes to choosing a motherboard. Some factors you will want to consider are the number of PCIe slots available for graphics cards, whether or not you want an M.2 slot for installing ultra-fast solid-state drives (SSDs), how many memory modules you need to be supported by your chipset, how much storage space you might need in the long run once new formats emerge that require larger memory modules, if there are any special features that are meant to enhance certain types of system builds, if you plan on overclocking your CPU in order to squeeze out more performance from it, etc.

The main bottleneck in most systems is still the speed of their storage subsystem. The fastest SSDs typically offer speeds that are twice as fast as even the fastest mechanical hard drives. In order to maximize that speed, you’ll want an M.2 slot on your motherboard if possible since those slots offer four times the bandwidth of regular PCIe slots. We also recommend a motherboard with at least two DDR4 memory modules installed for mainstream usage, and more if you want to use multiple graphics cards or do intensive work with large files such as high-quality video editing. This is why it’s good to have systems with plenty of RAM included out of the box since it becomes much easier to upgrade down the road than it is to try and fit everything into a tight budget by choosing just the right components from the start.

Keeping all these things in mind as well as looking at our own reviews and reading customer feedback from people who have purchased each motherboard will help you choose which one is right for your build. To that end, I’m going to take a look at some of the best X570 motherboards currently available on the market and discuss their strengths and weaknesses relative to other models also worth considering based on what we’ve seen with other AM4 chipset boards. This way you can make sure you get the most bang for your buck when purchasing a motherboard with the AMD X570 chipset onboard. Let’s dive into the list of Best X570 Motherboards.

The same color scheme and heatsinks as the rest of the range, as well as a general style that means most people would need to see it in person before realizing it is significantly different from earlier ROG boards. The numerous RGB lights on the board, and allow for dynamic lighting effects across each lit area at varying intensities and colors rather than always being uniform. ASUS has changed its heatsink design again across this board and provided multiple options for cooling either using water or air (but not both) depending on your preference and usage scenario.

Audio remains an important part of the package with SupremeFX S1220 Audio Codec and support for DTS Custom tuning as well as the usual list of ASUS enhancements. ASUS ROG Maximus XI is one of the fastest Z390 motherboards on the market. It features Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 to empower today’s mega-tasking users, offering them the ability to balance processors’ power draw at any given workload for cores with different demands. Uniquely developed by ASUS, Triple Overvoltage offers unprecedented voltage control that could only be achieved via software before its arrival because it utilized separate regulators for each rail to go beyond what other motherboard manufacturers offer in terms of volts – now you could change your CPU Vcore (in steps of 50 mV), iGPU/EPU PWR ratio along with DRAM voltage all from one single menu should you desire! The ultimate way to tailor-make your rig to your specific needs! This option previously available only in BIOS was now made possible by ASUS Extreme Engine Digi+ 8-phase tri-state regulators.

On the left, there are the DRAM slots. The motherboard has four DDR4 DIMM memory slots with support up to 64GB of DDR4 4333+ (OC) MHz! They use proper shielding to protect the DIMMs against EMI and ensure sufficient signal quality for higher clocks.. The top slot is capable of running at 4066+ (OC) MHz while all the others run at 4133 (OC) MHz… not many motherboards offer such high speeds regardless of their Z390 chipset capability, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Code does! One thing that should be noted is that if you plan on using this motherboard – you MUST install memory modules into A2 and F2 first, then move them to the other two DIMM slots.

The LGA1151 socket has been designed to fully support Intel’s 9000- series Coffee Lake CPUs which were announced at the beginning of 2018. In fact, when it comes to compatibility with older processors you might actually have some problems. For example, if your current 8th gen processor is an Intel Core i7-8700K then you simply CAN’T use a Z390 motherboard because that model isn’t supported by any already out there! You would need a Z370 instead. However – if your chip is an i5-8600K then you can power it up with a Z390 motherboard with no problem! Some motherboards don’t even feature such an option in their BIOS, so make sure it’s enabled in yours.

ASUS ROG Maximus XI Code

Best Designed X570 Motherboard

REASONS TO BUY

High-quality components

REASONS TO AVOID

More expensive

ASUS designed their ROG Maximus XI Code with the intent to allow anyone who purchases it to set up a gaming environment from scratch. They’ve decided against making this product an entry-level, introductory model and instead made it for those who know what they’re looking for and want a motherboard that can do a little bit of everything. The board has eight power phases on the CPU area, which makes overclocking easier. It also includes 5X Protection II – ASUS studied all aspects of components going bad and included protections for overvoltage condition, under-voltage event, short circuit protection all so you don’t have to worry about destroying your system no matter how much time you spend playing games on it.

That being said, this model isn’t perfect. The CPU VRM heatsink is a little flimsy and the M.2 connectors are placed right under it, so you’re effectively blocking them with your graphics card. ASUS included an 8-pin power connector for those who want to apply additional overclocking, but we wish they could’ve used a more reliable design instead of pushing towards proprietary solutions and propriety features (Rule #1: Don’t Screw Up Your Own Screws). There’s no doubt that the ROG Maximus XI Code is built for those who know what they’re looking for in terms of performance. However, if you’re not too keen on overclocking yourself or maybe don’t even know what overclocking is, you probably won’t get the most out of this motherboard.

In case you do want to give it a go, ASUS included their own version of Auto Overclocking XOC that will help you get started. While this model may be a little difficult to understand and configure for beginners, we have to hand it to ASUS for making a product that’s meant for gamers who know what they’re looking for when they spend way more money on a motherboard than they should. ROG Maximus XI Code is one of the most expensive motherboards on the market (price varies between $500 and $520). However, ASUS built their product with high-quality components to go along with its features, so it’s definitely worth your money if you’re looking for something that has every bell and whistle possible. ASUS made this motherboard to be exactly what they advertised – a gaming motherboard – which shows how much work went into choosing each individual component.

Conclusion

With so many different motherboard models, it can be hard to know which one is the best. We’ve put together a list of our favorite motherboards based on specific needs and budgets below.
