Best CPU Coolers for i9 10900K

Find out what is the Best cooler for your new Intel i9 10900K. We take a look at some of the top rated coolers and recommend our favorites.

If you have been looking around at all the various options for cooling your new Intel processor, you have probably come across the phrase “best CPU cooler.” Most likely you were wondering exactly what this meant and why it was so important. After all, a high-end PC such as the i9 10900K simply would not do without a standard single fan CPU cooler, yet ll still help you determine and choose the best CPU cooler for your next-generation machine. Having to choose between a water cooled CPU, an air-cooled CPU or a hybrid CPU might seem to be more than you can handle. Fortunately, most such situations involving processor cooling are simple to understand and deal with once you get the hang of it.

The first step in deciding on the best CPU coolers for your system is to understand that there are three basic types available. Of these, two are of critical importance and should be your primary considerations. Firstly, you will want a device that enables you to maximize the airflow through your CPU’s fans, enabling it to run at its optimal temperature range. There are several options here, from the standard CPU temperature controller to cleverly designed silicone heat pipes. Silicone tube technology makes use of two silicone plates that are connected to one another via a flexible channel, and a third plate positioned underneath the two primary plates.

Secondly, you will want one of the many air cooling CPU coolers on the market today that enables you to keep your processor at a cool enough temperature while also maintaining a constant flow of air. Two options here, airflow restriction and pure loop design are particularly effective. The former uses an aluminum plate that is bent to minimize air blockage, while the latter combines a second aluminum plate that also functions to** limit airflow **by keeping it within the minimum noise level. Pure loop design features a similar principle to the first, with one plate moving air through a larger loop made of copper tubing.

A final option for your i9 10900k is a liquid cooling device. These use a variety of techniques, ranging from the surface area of the component to the liquid’s vapor pressure. Two options here, one is a traditional radiator design, and the other is a high-tech blower that draws the air inside a certain unit, usually heat sinks, and then pushes it out into the rest of the computer case. The latter method can often provide extremely quiet operation, as the air is drawn in by the blower fan rather than by the heat sink fins.

Before making your decision on which CPU cooler to get or not, you should consider the manufacturer’s reputation. There are many different models out there, and each one may only be suitable for a particular brand or type of processor. Below is the list of Best CPU Coolers for i9 10900K, check out it.

Quick Buying Tips!

Finding the best CPU cooler for a top of the line Intel processor is pretty straight forward. But how do you know that you’re getting the best? You have two choices: Do you buy from an online retailer or do you head down to your local computer shop and try one out for yourself? This article will go into more detail about what you should look for when making this type of purchase. It’s important to know the pros and cons of different types of coolers before choosing one.

Internal temperature: One thing to consider is how much space you have in your PC. If you have a cramped desk space, then you’ll definitely need to make sure you choose a desktop-based CPU cooler. These types of coolers are great for compact environments, or if you just need a small and inexpensive way to keep your computer’s internal temperature levels low.

Cooling Solutions: On the other hand, if you want a liquid cooling solution, then you’ll have more options. Liquid cooling systems use high-end, expensive components such as aluminum heat sinks. If you have lots of space but not a lot of power, then this might be the best choice for you. A desktop liquid cooler won’t take up a lot of desk space, so it will fit easily in any size PC case. And since most desktop liquid coolers are extremely compact, they won’t take up a lot of cabinet or drawer space.

Heat Sinks: So how about heat sinks? You can find both lower-end and higher-end models with a heat sink attached. The lower end ones are typically sold separately, while the higher end ones come with the heat sink built into them. If you’re going with a desktop computer, then a lower end heat sink might be fine. But if you’re using a gaming computer, then you’ll want to go all out and get a high-end heat sink that you can permanently attach to your computer case. You might also need to get some sort of fans, especially if you’re getting an enclosed computer case.

Air Flow: There are also plenty of computer liquid cooling systems on the market. Some of these use a pump to push the water into the air flow. This is the cheapest way to cool a computer, but it has its drawbacks. The pumps work best in cases where the air intake and exhaust aren’t that great. Pushing too much water through your system can make your system much warmer than it needs to be.

Systems: Some computer cooling systems employ air or by fans. Air coolers are usually cheaper than pumps, because it is less complicated. These can also be used if you want the absolute coolest computer possible. Fan cooling systems can also cool your computer extremely efficiently, but they are expensive. The best option for a gaming PC, however, is a water-cooled CPU cooler that makes use of a whole house water pump to draw cooling air through your computer case.

The dual-axis thermal design of the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler ensures superb acoustical quality. Its patented dual-chambered heat sink is equipped with an effective thermal design to keep your device cool while it is operating. This design is combined with precision-crafted aluminum fins to maximize the heat dissipation ability of the cooler. Utilizing a dual-axis design, the dual-chambered heatsink effectively removes heat from the sides and front of the computer, which eliminates turbulence and provides an effective air flow to the CPU.

The dual NF-A 15 cooling fans are made with top quality materials to ensure extended lifespan and superior performance. These dynamic fans are capable of spinning at a very high speed to increase the overall cooling effect of the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler. The NF-A 15 can rotate in three modes – speed mode (reduces CPU temperature by a significant amount), balanced mode (reduces temperatures across the board) and guard mode (ensures top quality performance regardless of temperature). Each of these three speeds is able to be automated via the included CPU temperature controller. The included automatic voltage regulation provides a consistent and reliable voltage output to the CPU, even when operating at high speeds.

In order to evaluate the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler against the competition, a Thermal Velocity Test System was created. The test system setup involved five computers that were each placed at different ambient levels. AIDA CPU performance results were then recorded for each of the five systems.

During the evaluation, the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler performed well above the competition. The testing yielded a CPU temperature of just above 35 degrees Celsius in the case of the Noctua NF-A 15-cooling fan. When the fan was switched off, the temperature dropped to below the level of cooling fans on many of the other systems. Thereafter, the Noctua CPU cooler was able to maintain a temperature value that was consistently better than many of the heat sinks and CPU heaters that we tested. When the ambient temperature increased to a level which could be hazardous to the health of any user, the Noctua CPU cooler managed to maintain a constant temperature value for six years, which is impressive. When the ambient temperature dropped below the NF-A 15 thermal rating, the fan had trouble with maintaining its RPM levels as it began to perform below the recommended speed.

It was founded in 1985 by an IT professional who made use of his expertise in sound electronics to come up with the unique features that are now at the core of this company’s success. The brand is recognized as a leading maker of computer coolers.

A Be Quiet! cooling system consists of five major parts: fans, heat sinks, computer case fans, and axial-flow cooling chambers. All of these units have their own unique selling features. Fans make use of an inner fan and the ambient air flow through a remote control. Heat sinks, on the other hand, can be placed on top of your tower; they provide cooling through their surface or their installation in underneath your tower fan.

Be Quiet! fans use axial-flow cooling chambers. These coolers are known to generate more air flow than their silent counterparts – making them great for home and office use. This means that you can use less fans while having the same amount of cooling effectiveness. While you can’t use fans with Be Quiet! cooling systems, you can get heat sinks that work just as well without fans and are much more compact.

Another aspect of Be Quiet! coolers is that they utilize standard computer case fans instead of axial-flow ones. Axial-flow fans can cause fluctuations in temperature that can hinder the proper operation of some cooling systems.

Be Quiet! computer case fans use a two-speed control. Some models have a variable-speed fan that can also be controlled. This allows you to set the fan speed for a specific desktop situation. Two-speed fans are usually cheaper than three-speed fans. While many computer owners may not have a need for this extra feature, many builders and professionals do.

Corsair H115i RGB Platinum (Image credit: Amazon)

Corsair H115i RGB Platinum

Best RGB AIO Cooler for i9 10900K

Maybe you are worried because of choosing between liquid cooling and air cooling, but this premium air cooler works great.

It also supports your Intel i9 10900K processors along with Intel i7 and AMD Ryzen 5 processors.

Finally, it is something that grabs gamers’ attention, its two fans have a full RGB lights feature, and you can also modify them.

Although, it can cool your pc, you may do not buy it if you can’t bear much noise because it produces 37 dB noise.

The new overclocking champion has arrived – the brand new overclocking series of the popular Corsair RGB series. The brand new H 110 overclocking CPU cooler by Corsair uses the patented Bladerix material which has been proven as one of the most effective conductors for high-performance computer components. This is also why the H 110 series is so efficient with heat dissipation. If you are looking for a compact and effective cooling solution for your gaming computer, the Corsair RGB series should be of interest to you.

The new overclocking CPU cooler by Corsair uses two fans for high-end performance. The front fan has been equipped with PWM technology for light and sound effects. The rear fan has a larger diameter and was designed to push out more air than the front fan. These fans are able to maintain constant speeds that ensure maximum airflow even when multiple devices are operating at the same time. The two fans will also spin at the same speed in order to maximize airflow and minimize noise output.

If you are thinking about overclocking your processor, we highly suggest that you purchase a CPU cooler such as the H 115i RIC. Many popular brands such as Overclockers, Liquid cooling kits, and others have released models with dual fans. These are popular because they provide good airflow, excellent noise reduction and are very efficient when it comes to cooling. When you are overclocking a processor, it is recommended that you use a liquid cooler such as the H115i RGB because it does not allow for an over-clock to occur. This keeps any harmful overheating from occurring.

When testing the H 115i RGB Platinum CPU cooler, we put it through several different testing methodologies. We used a system consisting of three computers, each running an identical program that set the same clock frequency. The reason for using this method of testing is that we can generate results that vary depending on the type of clock speed, thereby eliminating the effect of the voltage being too low or high. Another benefit is that all three clocks speeds are recorded separately, providing a consistent overall result.

After running the test, we performed a side-by-side comparison of the overclocked and reference speeds. This found that the overclocked H 115i RGB Platinum CPU cooler had a minor advantage in temperature levels, which resulted in the CPU being slightly quicker. Using a 40dba radiator made the difference in performance between the overclocked and reference clock speeds, which means that the cooler was unnecessary. A simple solution would be to purchase a water block and CPU radiator for the RGB.

Unfortunately, the RGB cooler does not come with one. This is where the benefits of a CPU sealed loop system become apparent. Sealed loop systems use two heat sinks to provide the extra heat required to allow the overclocked fans to operate at their highest potential. Using a sealed loop reduces the chances of over-heating and allows the CPU and fans to achieve their full potential.

Corsair H150i PRO RGB (Image credit: Amazon)

Corsair H150i PRO RGB

Best Silent AIO Cooler for i9 10900K

Corsair Hydro H150i is the most premium Liquid cooler of all time, and buying it will make your PC elegant and cool!

It is also considered among the quietest Air Cooler. It only produces 25 dB of sound which is really impressive.

It is a premium processor, and it may not be suitable for low-budget buyers

For anyone thinking of investing in a high-performance liquid cooling solution for their gaming PC, the Corsair H150i PRO comes highly recommended. This two-piece heatsink/radiator package has been crafted to perfection and features four fans with three aluminum extruded aluminum fins. This is an extremely compact and effective unit for any level of enthusiast or system builder. Here we take a quick look at the specifications of this stellar cooling solution.

The radiator on the H 150i Pro is an oversized one. It covers approximately half of the tower’s length and features two fans which help push out a massive amount of air into the system. The whole unit is almost three times the size of the graphics card, it sits on which is typical for such a powerful cooling solution. The massive radiator also features a front I/O Port which is positioned just behind the graphics card itself for easy access to the motherboard and CPU.

Speaking of the motherboard, the rear plate of this two-piece heatsink is quite attractive as well. The large piece itself sits on top of the PCB, which is covered by the standard round rubberized plastic. However, it is attached to a metal plate via a USB cable. So if you were wondering where the USB port came from, that is where it goes. The bracket attached to this piece also serves a useful purpose as it helps to keep the radiated heat away from the motherboard and the other components.

On the rear of the fan is the standard six-pin connection but there is also a five-pin fan hub that offers full control over the fan speeds and noise output. This hub also offers support for dual-card systems, so you can have one fan running for graphics purposes and then another fan to help with the processing of the system files and programs. One nice thing about the Corscraft fans is that they come with an integrated memory cooler incorporated into the fan. This has a built-in sensor that allows the computer to save power when required, which is especially useful if you are going to be running multiple programs or games simultaneously.

If you are looking for an upgrade, this might not be the one for you. However, if you are looking for a full dual-core processor with plenty of RAM then this could be the perfect fit. If you want to purchase a motherboard that supports this sort of technology then you will need to check out the additional cards such as the Corsair H 150i Gold and the Corscraft Super Hi-Tech(TM). The former has four fans and two heat sinks while the latter has a dual-core processor, two fans, and one heat sink.

If you are really keen on getting a new system, then a motherboard upgrade may not be what you are interested in. If so, you could always consider an aftermarket cooling solution. There are many coolers on the market that can handle dual-core processors and large RAMs. However, this is something that only you will know where it best suits your needs.

The end result is a quiet and stable operation that increases the level of performance of your personal computer.

On the exterior of this MSI CPU cooler, you will discover a full metal outer body with a wide range of available colors. When viewing the cooler from the front, you will notice that the radiator sits just beneath the aluminum heatsink. This radiator is designed in a unique manner to dissipate heat very efficiently, while at the same time maintaining a cool and sleek appearance. If you look deep into the aluminum fins that sit on the surface of the radiator, you will notice that they are actually divided by a vertical line which allows the air to move up and out of the aluminum fins’ center channel.

The inside of the MSI Coreliquid 240R has an inset large metal plate that houses the three main components of the cooler. The large plate is also covered in an attractive colored acrylic finish which allows for an eye-catching look. Beneath this, you will discover the standard four fan configuration in each of the four main cooling slots. Once again, due to the design of the radiator, the front and back fans are able to function independently of each other.

Looking closely at the inside of the MSI Coreliquid 240R CPU cooler, you will notice that it uses a standard four-core Intel i7 processor. On the outside, you will discover that the exterior of this well-constructed CPU cooler is made from a heavy-duty aluminum shell. The aluminum fins and the cover are both finished in glossy black color. This design choice along with the standard aluminum radiator helps to ensure that this air cooler can keep your processor running at top speed without having to resort to underclocking your processor. Two 120mm PWM fans will help to drive the cooling ability of the MSI Coreliquid 240R, which has maximum fans per square inch rating of three.

Looking deeper into the specifications of this MSI Coreliquid 240R CPU cooler, you will find that it utilizes two high-performance aluminum radiators. Each of the two massive copper heat sources is encased in its own aluminum casing which will effectively protect all of your components from potential damage. If you happen to have an extremely high-performing processor, you may want to upgrade to a high-performance liquid cooling system by purchasing a side-by-side dual-fan radiator. These systems utilize two different-sized fans that can be placed on either side of your processor. DeepCool Assassin III (Image credit: Amazon)

DeepCool Assassin III

Best Enthusiast Air Cooler for i9 10900K

It is made up of durable Copper; hence, it provides great quality and life-long experience by ultimately extending the warranty.

You should not worry about processor compatibility because it nearly supports your Intel i9 10900k processor.

If you love the black color, then this cooler automatically built up your mind. Therefore, you should go for it if you want!

It produces 34 dB sounds which is maximum as compare to the other modern air coolers.

Deepcool’s new Assassin III CPU cooler is another of their high performing air coolers on the market. Priced at $80, the quad-tower behemoth is engineered to be an excellent alternative to the highly popular Noctua NH-Ds15 and many of its counterparts. Each of the eight aluminum fins are embellished with a fine quality 140mm dual fan, the included adjustable fans have been purposefully placed away from the heat sources to ensure quiet operation, and the comprehensive package includes a standard screw driver, low noise adapters and a very handy thermal paste for keeping your computer free from overheating. It comes complete with two aluminum fans (one on the front and one behind the motherboard), an array of aluminum plate heat sinks, a cabling system, a set of four quality 120mm fans and an attractive carrying case. It is compact and extremely effective at cooling.

The biggest advantage to using a cooler like this is that you get to expand your system without worrying about your computer overheating due to heat sinks and fans being exhausted from the system. Just a little experiment and you’ll see that with all fans working at full capacity you’ll actually push more air out of your CPU than it pulls in. The two fans are situated on either side of the motherboard so as to push the air downwards and away from the components themselves. As the cooler has such fantastic flow rates, it means you get to enjoy twice the air flow that you’d normally need.

With the system installed you need to know how to keep it running optimally. This is a pretty simple process – just follow the instructions that come with the system. You don’t need any special tools or knowledge. However, you should always make sure you’re cleaning the surface of your system. Dust can easily accumulate on the inner components and this will in turn cause them to stop working correctly – making for an unresponsive PC that’s going to be very hard to use.

There are a few other things you can do to keep your system running optimally. First things first – remove any software or applications that are not being used regularly. Uninstall them and then clean up the space they occupy on your hard drive – don’t just delete them because you want to save a few MBs of space on your system. Delete them thoroughly so that you’ll be able to free up the space on your hard drive that these things take up.

Next you should install any new updates or patches you may have missed. Software updates especially tend to add a lot of extra files and processes to your system. They can slow down processing and even add some unknown characters to Windows, which can damage it. Then there are the standard security programs you’ve installed on your PC as well as virus and spyware protection software. These can all help to keep your system safe. But you also need to keep your system free from junk email and pop-up ads – both of which can cause major damage to your computer.

And finally it’s important that you keep your system updated. This will ensure that it’s running as smoothly and effectively as possible and will keep any potential problems from happening. You can either download and install a program called RealPlayer which will keep your media library up-to-date, or you can keep using the built-in Windows Media Player which is built into Windows.

Scythe Big Shuriken 3 (Image credit: Amazon)

Scythe Big Shuriken 3

Best SFF Air Cooler for i9 10900K

Can also use it on your Small Form Factor (mini-PC) due to its compact size.

Supports Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Core i9, and AMD Ryzen too

In terms of quality and Durability, it is slightly unstable because it is made up of two metals: Copper and Aluminum.

With the market being saturated by two of the top cooling systems on the market today, one would be crazy to think that Scythe is trying to leave its mark with the SOGA Big Shuriken 3 CPU cooler. But the truth is that it does. The cooler is extremely well priced, despite lacking many features of the competition, and has a lot of great advantages over the competition, making it the ultimate CPU cooler in my opinion.

For starters, the SOGA brand has a reputation for making very good quality products. In fact, this reputation is what started this whole CPU cooler affair in the first place, as it was simply a matter of time before something comparable came along with the proper engineering. With that said, I am happy to see that the SOGA cooler is absolutely nothing short of awesome. For one thing, it really lacks very few features compared to the competition, and as a result, the Big Shuriken 3 CPU cooler is actually quite compact when you compare it to some other air coolers.

Also, the aluminum fins on the SOGA cooler enable it to achieve a better thermal capacity than the competition. During our testing, we found that the aluminum fins on the SOGA cooler could manage to keep our laptop at a comfortable temperature level, even when there were multiple programs running at once. This is thanks to the aluminum fins being able to channel heat away from the system’s actual components, instead of just being absorbed by the aluminum body of the cooler. While the competition’s aluminum fins absorb some of the heat produced during use, the Scythe cooler allows most of it to go out into the air before getting absorbed by the computer.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly for an air cooling system is how well the Scythe cooler works with our specific computers. The SOGA cooler works perfectly with the computers that we used for this review, and has worked flawlessly. It was easily installed on our personal laptop, without any problems, and then the coolers worked like new. The cooler performed up to the same standards as the others in the test system, and its efficiency out-weighed its size. All in all, this is truly the best performing air cooler for the money.

When testing the SOGA cooler for size, however, it became apparent that it was too small to utilize on our particular Intel based desktop. Instead, we recommend the use of an aftermarket air cooler such as the Scythe Big Shuriken 3 CPU cooler. Unlike the SOGA cooler, which is a closed loop design, the Big Shuriken cooler has large open fins that spread heat evenly across your processor and motherboard. The large size of the fins means that even if your processor isn’t particularly large, the fans will help push the heat away from your computer and ensure that you get an excellent cooling system for your CPU.

This is also great news for anyone that has a large computer such as a AMD Athlon II and is looking for a cooling solution to use on that particular computer. If you have an older system that doesn’t use a standard size socket for your motherboard, then you may want to consider upgrading to a larger socket and get a standard sized cooler. For anyone that uses an older compute system that uses an AGP slot, the large intake fan may not be a good idea. Instead, the cooling solution for these systems should utilize one of the many smaller intake fans that are readily available. Either way, the SOGA cooler performed as well as the rest and performed up to the high standards that most professional reviews have been giving it.

If you are looking to cool your PC but don’t need the absolute coolest PC possible, then one of the simpler options for you is a liquid cooling system. These are popular for use with laptop computers. They sit right next to your CPU and draw cooling air from inside the computer. This is almost as efficient as pumping water through your system. One advantage to these coolers is that they only use a fraction of the power that the air-cooled ones do. This is important if you use your computer often.

If you don’t have the cash to buy a full-on computer cooling system, then there are plenty of liquid-based alternatives. You can get a simple single-stage cooler for about $50, which will get your PC very cool. Or, you could go all out and get a full-on water-based cooler that has several fans that will blow the cool air across your computer. Either way, you should look to get an all-in-one type of cooler that is made by a well-known company. By reputation, you know that they will stand behind their product.
